APC Leader Urges President Tinubu to Remove NPA and NIMASA MDs

Prominent APC member Dr. Garus Gololo has called on President Bola Tinubu to dismiss Mohammed Bello Koko, Managing Director of the Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA), and Ibrahim Jamoh, Managing Director of NIMASA, citing alleged financial and administrative malpractices. Gololo, speaking during a media briefing in Abuja, urged a thorough investigation and potential removal of the duo, emphasizing the need for forensic auditing into Koko’s tenure, who assumed acting leadership at NPA after Adisa Bala Usman’s departure. Gololo expressed concerns about corruption issues in governance and questioned the judiciary’s handling of Usman’s case. He called for stringent investigations and the involvement of anti-graft agencies in appointments, criticizing the EFCC for misplacing priorities. Gololo emphasized the importance of accountability and transparency, warning against a lack thereof in upcoming political scenarios. He urged Nigerians to prioritize national interest over religious or ethnic considerations and appealed to President Tinubu to address the issues for the country’s future well-being.
