President Tinubu Swears in 8 New Permanent Secretaries and Chairs FEC Meeting

In a significant development, President Tinubu administered the oath of office to eight new Permanent Secretaries who emerged successful in the Federal Civil Service selection process. The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Council Chambers of the State House, Abuja, preceding the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Monday. The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries include Ndakayo-Aishetu Gogo, Bako Deborah Odoh, Omachi Raymond Omenka, Ahmed Dunoma Umar, Watti Tinuke, Adeoye Adeleye Ayodeji, Rimi Nura Abba, and Ella Nicholas Agbo.

As of the report filing, President Tinubu is presiding over the week’s FEC meeting, attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) George Akume, Chief of Staff to the President Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation Folashade Yemi-Esan, and various ministers. The appointment and swearing-in of the new Permanent Secretaries mark a crucial step in reinforcing the administrative structure and functions within the Federal Civil Service.
