RCCG Builds 1.5km Road to Serve FCT Residents

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Tree of Righteousness Parish in FCT Region 46, has invested over N64 million to build a 1.5 km road network at Fepa Quarters in Karu, benefiting local residents.

During the project’s commissioning, Zonal Pastor Adewale Kukoyi disclosed the church’s commitment to community development through this road construction. He emphasized that such initiatives form part of the church’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), highlighting the importance of not solely relying on the government for every developmental project.

“In today’s Nigeria, not all projects can be left to the government. We are part of the governance structure. After all, ‘democracy is the government of the people, by the people, and for the people,'” Pastor Kukoyi stated.

He stressed the church’s role in shining light in the community, aligning with biblical teachings to showcase good works, impacting the neighborhood positively, and fostering peace and love among residents.

Pastor Chinedu Ezekwesili, overseeing the church’s CSR initiatives, affirmed the church’s long-standing commitment to community service, citing this road construction as one among numerous similar endeavors.

Grateful residents expressed their joy and appreciation, acknowledging the church’s effort in transforming a once deplorable road into a functional and accessible one. They urged other religious institutions to follow suit and contribute positively to community development.
