Immigration Unveils New Passport Office in Lagos

The Nigeria Immigration Service has inaugurated a passport front office in the Igbogbo community, Ikorodu, Lagos State, expanding its services in the region. Olusesan Daini, the Chairman of Igbogbo/Bayieku Local Council Development Area, announced the achievement and expressed gratitude to leaders who contributed to the initiative. He particularly acknowledged the Minister of Interior, Hon. (Dr.) Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and the Controller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, Caroline Wura-Ola Adepoju, the first Yoruba citizen to lead the service.

The newly established front office aims to enhance the passport application experience for residents, reflecting a commitment to accessible and efficient services. This initiative follows the January 2023 opening of a passport front office in Alimosho, Lagos. The expansion of immigration services into local communities aligns with the government’s efforts to provide convenient access to essential documentation and reflects a positive step towards improved public service delivery.
