Kristin Cavallari faces criticism for downplaying the significance of sleeping with someone

Kristin Cavallari faced backlash for her dating advice to a listener questioning the timeline for sleeping with a new partner, sparking a debate on social media.

During an episode of her “Let’s Be Honest” podcast, the “Laguna Beach” star addressed a query on how many dates one should wait before being intimate. Cavallari mentioned her recent realization after typically making suitors wait for three or four dates, stating, “It doesn’t matter if you sleep with him on the first or tenth date. If there is chemistry and feelings there, it doesn’t matter.”

Upon sharing the clip on Instagram, Cavallari received criticism, particularly from sexist commenters, dismissing her advice as “trash” and unsuitable for today’s dating culture.

However, amidst the negative comments, some praised Cavallari for her perspective, including “Bachelorette” alum Nick Viall, who supported her view. Others shared their personal experiences, endorsing her belief that timing doesn’t dictate a relationship’s success.

Cavallari’s recent attention stemmed from revealing her past hookup with Tyler Cameron, describing him as the “hottest” she’d been with. Not specifying the timing, their interaction took place during an Uncommon James campaign in April 2022.

Previously married to NFL player Jay Cutler, Cavallari and Cutler share three children. They parted ways in 2020 after seven years of marriage.
